Has anyone any information on J C Higgins ?

He was a pilot for the Lancashire School of Aviation Ltd, Squires Gate,
Blackpool.

He is known to have flown Avro 548 G-EBIT (c/n 5100), which was purchased by
the LSA from Feb 1928 until it crashed at Kingstown on 25 Sept 1930.

The 548 was originally registered to the North Sea Aerial and General
Transport Company Reserve School at Brough, the C of A being dated 9 May
1924.

Thanks

Nick

Does anyone know anything about the early life (pre meeting with Farman in
1906) of George Holt Thomas ? There is a posting on the Air-Britain list
which suggests a number of errors in Mick Davis' AirCo book. I am fairly
sure that Mick's main source of info on GHT was the Dictionary of National
Biography CD-ROM (supplied by me via the omnipresent Kevin Kelly), so it
seems that is wrong too.

I don't know of a 'proper' biog of GHT. Has anyone else done any digging ?

Nick

PS He came from Brixton Hill, London
