These were compiled for a Radio 4 programme. The pilot was Sholto Douglas and the parachutists were Orde Lees and his 'secretary' Sylvia Boyden. His father was Raymond Gabriel Camille de la Fayre Biard and his mother Lucy Georgina Constance Biard nee Delamain. Raymond was an Assistant Master at Charterhouse. The birth was registered on 3 February 1892. Henry Charles Biard died on 19 January 1966 at the Herrison Hospital, Charminster, Dorset from Cardiac failure, he was 74 years old. His address is given as "The Coach and Horse, Titchfield, Fareham and Aviator retired". The Hampshire Telegraph 27 January 1966 page 9, carries a short note of his death. The same page also carried a short note that Vice Admiral Richard Bell Davies 79 V.C. of "Dormers" Crofton Avenue, Stubbington, was admitted to the Royal Naval Hospital Haslar. It was noted that he was a veteran aviator of WW1 and "was making good progress" and "his condition is giving no cause for anxiety". Bell Davis VC, CB, DSO, AFC died at Haslar on 26 February 1966.
