I suspect that we now have two Uncle Mac's, my generation listened to Derek McCulloch who had survived as a PBI man laying seriously wounded in 'no mans land' for days. I assume Jon's Uncle Mac of the 1950/60's is another entertainer, have we anyone out there young enough to remember who he is, so that we can add him to our list of RFC/RNAS & RAF personnel who were entertainers. We have fifteen names at the moment, Dogzbody said it would have been sixteen if it had not been for that Vicar putting the kybosh on his monologue career back in 1916! And Hello John, yes Pat O'Brien (Out witting the Hun) well done that man, I did not know he had committed suicide, poor devil. Surrey 'The Jewel in the Crown'? now that Brian has started something, I went through Surrey recently without even one tiny whiff of Curry, on what do you base this claim of 'The Jewel in the Crown? Seriously old mate, it is good to know you are on the mend, take care. John B. ------------------------------ End of CCI Digest 792 *********************
