Message-ID: <000a01c2e9a1$e43d1510$63482dcb@future> You haven't seen it! WOW this is a classic in Aussie TV mini series. Made in the early 80's. Traces the lives of a group of diggers who all joined up together. Their first battle of course is Gallipoli. Then they go onto France. Etc Etc. Also looks at the lives of their families back home. The trench scenes are very well done. Seems that the producer did his homework well when it comes to the uniforms for both our guys and the Turks and then the Germans. They also made sure that all the actors' didn't stay clean. Some of the trench scenes have the actors wallowing around in knee high mud. I would recommend it to anyone who has an interest in learning about the ANZACS. Message-ID: <65D2493B.51F60D40.000121E7@aol.com> Greetings! Over the past few years I have managed to acquire a couple of dozen old aviation photos, ranging in vintage from 1919 - 1930. Most are printed on rather rugged paper, but the images are shifting to the sepia and the paper is beginning to break down a bit as well. I am asking those of you who complement your modelling by collecting old photos - what do you do to preserve them / display them / keep them from declining further? Ideally, I would like to be able to look at them easily, perhaps by safely mounting them in an album or binder of some sort, but I do not want to damage them and I am searching for ideas here. Message-ID: <3E55547900ABEABB@mta1.wss.scd.yahoo.com> (added by postmaster@mail.san.yahoo.com) Dave, do not mount, bind or place in any kind of cover! Ideally it would be best to have those photos digitally recorded, like with a good quality scanner, but putting them in any ordinary sort of albumn would do them further damange. They need to be stored in a cool dry, dark place, away from plastics (which vent chemicals) and other paper or cardboard (many of which contain small amounts of acid) The photos sound as if they have already been damaged by light and moisture, check your local photo store for "acid free" paper to place between them, to help preserve the actual photos, and get them scanned ASAP. -- Merrill Your Madness May Vary > > Greetings! > > Over the past few years I have managed to acquire a couple of dozen old aviation > photos, ranging in vintage from 1919 - 1930. Message-ID: <3E715CD2.96BBAC56@earthlink.net> Dave, the best way to preserve old photos is to put them in a box made of acid-free cardboard and store them in a temperature/humidity controlled environment. But that's no fun because you can't look at them. Next best thing is to seal ('encapsulate') them in mylar and keep them in a dark place when not looking at them. Any exposure to light, temperature changes, and humidity will cause further deterioration. Before doing anything to them, you probably should scan them and keep a digital record. Then put them in a cool dark dry place in a album or box....I wish I had my museum Director here...she has a masters in museum archival science in paper and textile products and could bang out a guaranteed answer in a minute....If you get nothing better, or further, I will check with her when I go back to my volunteer afternoon next Tuesday...Broman can testify to this...she is a whiz....best to all...Horton ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 05:45:47 +0100 From: "Philippe Spriesterbach" To: Subject: Re: Update of Nieuport pages Message-ID: Hello Eric, Yes, and in red, yellow and black, it's The nicest Philippe Spriesterbach http://users.skynet.be/fa233213 > -----Message d'origine----- > De : wwi@wwi-models.org [mailto:wwi@wwi-models.org]De la part de Eric > GALLAUD >> > Hello Philippe, > > Happy birthday to you > Thank you to you and Fred for these pictures of this very nice plane (It > is nice and it is a Nieuport, so it is very nice ;-) ). > > Eric > > > ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2003 14:30:25 +0800 From: =?GB2312?B?zca547L6xrc=?= To: wwi@mustang.sr.unh.edu Subject: =?GB2312?B?MTLN8rLiytTTyta3tPPU+cvNK9Lau6LTyrLuMjAwM9eisuG7+iE=?= Message-ID: <200303140630.h2E6U80J201196@mustang.sr.unh.edu> *ÕâÊÇÒ»·ÝÉÌҵѯº¯,ÈçÎÞÐèÒª,ÇëËæÊÖɾ³ý,лл! »¶Ó·ÃÎÊ£ºhttp://www.21cnline.com ÆóÒµµÄ²úÆ·ÐèÒªÐû´«ÓëÍƹ㣬¾«Æ·ÓʼþµØÖ·ÍøÖÂÁ¦ÓÚÍøÂçÓªÏúºÍÆóÒµÕ¾µã¡¢²úÆ·µÄÐû´«¡£ÎÒÃÇ·´¶ÔµÍÖÊ¡¢µÍЧµÄÀ¬»øÓʼþ£¬¼ÈÀË·Ñ¿Í»§µÄʱ¼ä£¬Ò²ÏûºÄÁË´óÁ¿µÄÍøÂç×ÊÔ´¡£ÎÒÃÇÌᳫºÏÀíµÄÀûÓÃÍøÂç×ÊÔ´£¬½øÐиßЧµÄÆóÒµ²úÆ·Ðû´«¡£Îª´Ë£¬±¾Õ¾ÌØËÑË÷¡¢Ð£ÑéÁËÒ»Åú·¢ËÍ¿ì¡¢³É¹¦ÂʸߵĵØÖ·£¬ÒÔ¹©¿Í»§Ñ¡Ôñ¡£Í¬Ê±¶ÔµØÖ·ÌṩÃâ·ÑÉý¼¶·þÎñ¡£ ±¾Õ¾¹©Ó¦ÒÔϸßÖÊÁ¿ÓʼþµØÖ·(99%µÄµØÖ·ÓÐЧÐÔ,85%ÒÔÉϵĸ߳ɹ¦ÂÊ)£ºOICQ:123987611 EMAIL:djkmail@163.com Ϊ֤Ã÷ÓʼþµØÖ·µÄÕæʵÓÐЧÐÔ£¬±¾Õ¾ÌØÃâ·ÑÌṩ12ÍòµØÖ·¹©¹ºÂò¿Í»§²âÊÔ¡£ ÉÌÎñÓÊÖ·£º280Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º280Ôª£» ¹úÄÚÓʾ֣º550Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º180Ôª£» ¹úÄÚÐÐÒµ£º260Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º150Ôª£» ¹úÄÚµØÇø£º270Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º150Ôª£» ¹ú¼ÊÓʾ֣º650Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º210Ôª£» ¹ú¼ÊµØÇø£º230Íò£ºÊÛ¼Û£º160Ôª£» ¾«Ñ¡µØÖ·£º170Íò£»ÊÛ¼Û£º150Ôª£» ¹ºÂòÈÎÒâÒ»¿îµØÖ·¾ùÃâ·ÑÔùËÍ£¨ÃâSMTP¡¢µ¥SMTPºÍ¶àSMTPϵÁУ©Èº·¢Èí¼þºÍȺ·¢Èí¼þʹÓý̡̳£ ¹ºÂò½ð¶îÔÚ300ÔªÒÔÉÏ£¬Ãâ·ÑÔùËͱ¾Õ¾È«²¿Èí¼þ£¬²¢Ãâ·ÑÌṩ¸ß¼¶»áÔ±ÕʺÅÒ»¸ö£¬Ö§³ÖÓʼþµØÖ·ÓÀ¾ÃÉý¼¶·þÎñ£¨±¾Õ¾µØÖ·»ù±¾ÉÏÿÌì¸üÐÂÌí¼ÓÐÂËÑË÷УÑéºóµÄÓʼþµØÖ·£©¡£ È«Ì×£¨7Ì×£©¹ºÂòÌرðÓŻݼۣº500Ôª£»²¢ÌṩÃâ·Ñ¹âÅÌ°æ¹²5ÕÅ:±¾Õ¾EMAILµØÖ·(1ÕÅ)+±¾Õ¾ÔùËÍÈí¼þ(1ÕÅ)+ÆäËû3¸öÓªÏúÕ¾µãËѼ¯´¦ÀíµÄEMAILµØÖ·(2ÕÅ£¬Ô¼2ÒÚµØÖ·)+×°»ú±¦±´(1ÕÅ£¬Îª×°»ú³£ÓÃÈí¼þ)+ÈðÐÇɱ¶¾2003°æ£¨º¬Õý°æÖÇÄÜÉý¼¶IDºÅ£©£¬Í¬Ê±Ãâ·ÑÌṩ¸ß¼¶»áÔ±ÕʺÅÒ»¸ö£¬Ö§³ÖÓÀ¾ÃÉý¼¶·þÎñ¡£¸½£ºËùÓйâÅ̾ùº¬¹âÅ̱£»¤ºÐ£¬±£Ö¤¹âÅÌÔÚÓʼĹý³ÌÖв»ÊÜÈκÎÄ¥Ëð¡£ ±¾Õ¾µØÖ·£¬»¶Ó·ÃÎÊ£ºhttp://www.21cnline.com ÈçÐ蹺Âò,ÇëÁªÏµ±¾Õ¾OICQ:123987611 EMAIL:djkmail@163.com ͬʱ±¾Õ¾»¹ÌṩÓʼþ´ú·¢ÒµÎñ£¬5Ôª/Íò£¬20ÍòµØÖ·Æ𷢡£ ***ÈçºÎÖªµÀÎÒ´¦ÊÇ·ñ°´ÊýÁ¿¸øÄú·¢¹ã¸æÓʼþÁË?*** ¡¡¡¡Õâ¸öÒÉÂÇÊÇÿһ¸öÍøÂçÉÌÎñÐÂÊÖËùÓöµ½µÄ£¬Ò²È·ÊµÊǴ󲿷ÖÈËËùµ£ÐÄ¡¢¹ØÐĵÄÎÊÌ⣬ÕâÒ²ÊÇÍøÂçµç×ÓÉÌÎñÄ¿Ç°»¹´æÔÚµÄÈõµã----²»ÇáÐÅ£¬Ïà¸ôÔ¶£¬ÄÑ×·¾¿¡£¶øÏÖÔÚ£¬ÎҵĿͻ§ÃÇ´ó¶¼ÊÇ´ÓÏÂÃ漸·½ÃæÀ´×÷³öÅжϵģº ¡¡1¡¢¼ì²â×Ô¼ºµÄÖ÷Ò³£¨Èç¹û·¢Óʼþ¹ã¸æÊÇΪÁËÐû´«Ö÷Ò³£©µÄ·ÃÎÊÁ¿ÉÏÉý·ù¶ÈÀ´È·¶¨¡£ ¡¡2¡¢´ÓÓʼþ¹ã¸æµÄ·´À¡ÐÅÏ¢µÄÈÈÁҳ̶ÈÀ´Åжϡ£ ¡¡3¡¢´ÓÓʼþ¹ã¸æ¶ÔÉúÒâ´Ù½øµÄÉÏÉý·ù¶ÈµÈÀ´Åжϡ£ ¡¡4¡¢ÉèÖá°Ð£ÑéÐÅÏ䡱£¬³ÌÐòÖÐÉèÖá°Ã¿·¢100000·âÐÅ£¬Í¬Ê±ÍùУÑéÐÅÏäÖз¢1·âÐÅ¡±¡£ ***********ÇëÎðÖ±½Ó»Ø¸´´ËÓʼþ*********** ¾«Æ·ÓʼþÍø ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 5085 **********************
