It is called a goat-head, because the seed looks just exactly like that...the head of a goat. It is rock-hard, and the "horns" are like tiny ice-picks that imbed themselves without hesitation in your boots, skin, etc. about 1/8" deep. Neil, would you care for a few of these? I'll pack em up for you today. They make into perfect little herds of goats in 1/72. --Clay On ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Feb 2003 17:15:57 -0500 From: "Steven Perry" To: Subject: Scotty's Nie. 28 Finished Message-ID: <000701c2dabf$fa67a3a0$65a8a8c0@tampabay.rr.com> My young friend Scott is over today and we finished his Nieuport 28. I printed them for him so he'll get a big kick out of all the attention. Thanks guys :-) We did the grand tour of the local hobby shops. I picked up some dink-scale Airfix kits, (Pup, Roland, Alb & Biff). Scotty decided on a '61 Chevy Impalla SS to build for the up-coming contest in Venice next month. We came home and finished the Nieuport. I stretched and painted the sprue and demonstrated on a couple of wires and he did the rest. I operated the soldering iron to tighten up the lines. Same with the turnbuckles which were globs of acrylic gel painted with Testors gold. Then we glued together the V-8 motor of his Chevy. We'll be getting together, homework & work schedule permitting, as often as possible in order to get the car finished in time.
