Getting the wings to line up correctly, making the landing gear straight and level, and the worst, getting the tail booms the correct length with the tail section square and level to the wings. I didn't even attempt to rig the damn thing. Mine looked nothing like the jewel produced by Dennis. The real kick is I found another one a few years later so I could have another crack at it. Moritz) Fabr. 1918" (so I guess that the name of the pilot was Moritz - the translation would be "Fighter Single Seater Albatros (of Moritz)"). Hmm, it might even be possible to identify the pilot with this - Moritz is not *that* common a name. I would guess that guy used the Wilhelm Busch character because of the same name... What is also interesting: Wilhelm Busch is a famous author/charicaturist in germany. He originally did *color* painings of his stories, of which "Max and Moritz" is the most famous (it is the story of 2 boys who do a lot of rather extreme jokes, involving amongst others a saw and a wooden bridge, with a tailor ending up in the water, but later end up as fodder for some chicken). The colors of Max and Moritz are therefore rather fixed (ie, one of them definitely had a red shirt), and the colors on the aircraft can be reconstructed with a good degree of probability... I *think* I have my own old edition of "Wilhelm Buschs Gesammelte Werke" somewhere at home... I like the nose cowlings, anything that has a nose like an old truck gets me.
