I then jot notes on a piece of paper that tell me where particular details are located; my categories might look like: cockpit Windsock 6/3/pp 24, WWIAero 122/pp55 center section undercarriage tail wing details etc... I list the good illustrations or descriptions for each of these sections of the model, and when I work on that piece, know right where to go to get the best help. It only takes a second or two, and as I'm spending several evenings reading up on the subject anyway, this activity saves a lot of time fumbling around later. Of course, nothing can prevent the discovery of the perfect picture two weeks AFTER it was needed.... Perhaps everyone does this anyway, in which event I apologize for wasting the bandwidth.
