Every time a pilot is mentioned by name, or a plane by serial number, I jot it down and keep reading. When I am done, I am left with a handful of these pages which get entered into my computer files while I "watch" the football game, or listen to music, or do something else that doesnt require my full attention. Currently, my pilot files total just under 25,000 entries (note - entries, not individuals), and I have no idea of how many entries are in the serial number files (I didnt keep count, and it is too late to start now). Whenever a list member posts for info about a particular pilot, I check my list. Unfortunately, many of these enquiries have been about individuals who have not been mentioned in books/other publications, but once in a while - paydirt! Thanx everyone for your kind welcome messages!! I currently fight to build Roden's Fokker DVII (alb). I must admit that my modeling skills are not a high level, but this model seems to be quite uneasy to build. So I'd like to know are there any tricks that could help me to lay those "unusual" lozenge decals. Especially on wing tips that are impossible to suit the place to my mind. I was going to build the plane that could be seen here http://www.rodenplant.com/HTML/035.htm , but after some hours of dealing with lozenge decals changed my mind and decided to build Bruno Loerzer's black+white plane. Any thoughts or typical moments on this plane? I also feel little bit clueless of wheel tyre colour? Should it be light grey? Or something more like rlm 66? I new one to WW1 modeling list and that's why I feel like needing to introduce myself. My name is Arseny Kardash and I am from the city of Riga - the capital of Latvia. I'm 23 years old and my my hobby is WW2 warbirds' scale modeling. I used to build mainly Luftwaffe WW2 aircraft models, but feeling myself falling in love with those biplanes and triplanes of WW1. Well, I hope my question will not be the most stupid that can be answered on this mailing list. Hope for cooperation! Best wishes, Arseny Kardash Riga, LATVIA icq #160254499 ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 4914 **********************
