I ordered a couple of thing from them on 23/12/02 and they arrived here 03/01. Ten days Oz to UK including Christmas and New Year (and we have 2 days off here in Scotland)is great stuff! Of course, the fact that the UK Post Office, having been unable to deliver it on the 3rd, then lost it for a week is not their fault! And I now have a quandry in that the ot kit I bought is in a fairly rare box and I'm not sure I can bring myself to build........ In 1/72nd, we know about the Junkers and the DH2 coming this year from Eduard. There are also off topic announcements of the MiG-15 and La-7 - both sorely needed in The Scale and both highly looked forward to. However... WHAT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED IS A SPAD 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Neil, are you listening? Awesome. While personally I was hoping for the Nieuport, the SPAD is definitely a great announcement, and I'll be buying four or forty of them. Man, there I go with the misty eyes again. Oh, and for your 1/48th builders, the next on topic is the Albatros W.4, with the Camel "would like to have the Camel on the store shelves by the end of summer". Man, I still can't believe it. It really does say that, here's the blessed text: We are opening this year with two new kits. The first one is the final ProfiPACK version of the L-39 Albatros. The second one is the 1:72nd scale kit of the Junkers J 1, a WWI German ground attack and army co-operation plane. It's a real monster, a very unusual project with its all metal airframe and armoured fuselage! During the year, we'll continue with 1:72nd scale kits with the release of the DH-2 and SPAD XIII in the WWI line, and the MiG-15, La-7 and Messerscmitt Me410 in the WWII and postwar line. We will also have some releases in the smallest 1:144th scale line. We will be releasing four Ju-87 Stukas, covering the B, R, D-5 and G-2 versions. I am completely overcome! /Neil C. A blast from the past, here. First of all - I know MIME might be on. Regretfully, I cannot turn it off and I appreciate it is difficult to read, so I will try and be brief in my future posts A brief update - I left the list almost exactly two years ago when my father became terribly ill and remained on the verge of leaving us for over two months. That terrible time so completely upturned our lives that only now am I creeping back to the pastimes I have enjoyed for so long, including WWI aviation. I am also pleased to report that dad is much improved, and we appreciate him even more than before. Secondly - and very important - the Bill Bacon collection. For those who are new, or who may have forgotten, our friend and list member Bill Bacon passed away about three years ago and the list members took up a collection for a donation in his name to the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum. Contributions were sent to me, as I live in Canada, and I am pleased to report that the list members (plus one generous "lurker" from the industry) donated a total of $500 in his name. The significance of this figure is that for donations of $500 or more the museum commemorates the individual with an inscribed brick in their donors' lobby, so Bill's name has been/will be added. The money has been earmarked for the care and feeding of their Sopwith Pup (puppy chow?). Thirdly - I just purchased that book Matt mentioned about Russian wwi aircraft (from Icarus) and they told me this is their first publishing effort, and 500 copies were printed. Looking forward to this one. OK - this has been long enough - it is nice to be back Regards, Dave Zulis, Toronto, Canada ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 10 Jan 2003 13:06:41 -0400 From: "Clemente Balladares" To: Subject: RE: Spray Paint Message-ID: <2B1249EB720E7141B18BB3F151C8E9F00CF648@correo.marn.gov.ve> Clay Do the effort to buy the airbrush, specially when apply the final coats..it deserve the effort :) Sincerely Clemente PD: By the way, my simple action airbrush have 20 years old, and it works perfect. -----Mensaje original----- De: mtngoat@flash.net [mailto:mtngoat@flash.net] Enviado el: Viernes, 10 de Enero de 2003 12:26 p.m. Para: Multiple recipients of list Asunto: [WWI] Spray Paint Sorry for all the simple questions folks, I am a relatively new modeler.
