Seems fair... I must report that I have gone way over the top in "correcting" Eduard's outstanding Albatros D.II. The end result of many hours work is a product only slightly worse than the basics that Eduard provided in the first place, and no discernable improvements at all. And, after agonizing over how dark the fuselages may have been on early Albatrossen, I decided that DS Abbott was probably right in his conclusion that they were tan or blond. But I got carried away with my varnishing, and ended up with dark brown anyway! The ICM model is neither prototype or production aircraft. Changing the side panels makes it look more like a production aircraft. I suppose someone more skilled than I am could separate the engine and firewall without botching it. If and when I build the kit I'll probably make the firewall from plasticard and use an Aeroclub or Koster Le Rhone engine. That's why I just went ahead and made the Clerget plan image. Maybe I'll revisit the Clerget (and the Camel) sometime later, but right now I've got more projects than I can handle. The LeRhone, on the other hand, is part of the N17 which i'm doing inside and out, and is on the top of the list. So I'll hold off on the plan views untill all the components are modeled.
