I've never seen one of these... I have one of these Cramercraft things and I call it the Bantam "Blob" because the fuselage halves (I assume that's what they are) look like 2 blobs next to each other. The flying surfaces are equally "vague" in appearance, and I mean "vague" in the sense that they could belong to a number of different kits, and not just aircraft. It is not a serious attempt at making a vac kit but amusing as a curio: makes Airframe look like Tamiya and then some:). I moved into a new position at work and needed some time to adjust to the new work load. Still may have to switch to digest, especially if the list traffic is what it has been the last day or two. Now that I have finished my current build I looked around for where I had stashed it. I found the Airfix wings and detail parts but I can't find the fuselage. I recall cleaning the cupboard where i store most of my models out back in the spring and I have a nasty feeling the fuselage may have gotten mixed up with stuff I threw out. Anyway, i still would like to build the Comic Camel, I doubt I can get another BlueRider vac, but if I recall HR makes a resin one. Has anyone built this model are HR resins ok? For the detail parts I have could I build a later Nightfighter Camel where they didnt modify it as much. If so does anyone know if they just took the Vickers guns off and mounted Lewis guns or did they just leave the armament alone and somehow put a deflector on to stop the flash of the Vickers blinding the pilot. Lastly with all the talk of SE5a's why was the Camel used for nightfighting, the SE5a must have made a better night fighter, its more stable, faster and flew higher??
