Originally, they stated that there would be two volumes on the Fokker D.VII, but they have been completely silent on the subject for at least 18 months, so maybe those plans fell through. >I would like to > see two-seat aces, but I'm not sure if they could break it down into > countries, or all two-seat aces. I have heard the D.VII is now resting in Osprey's hands - it's up to them when it comes out. Honestly I don't see a need for it, with the awesome Anthology series from the publishers of Windsock. I failed at that model. One thing that happened was similar to your experience. I have a jar full of tiny lead spheres or whatever and their lead dust comes off when you handle them. I did the same. Poured the lead spheres into the space, dumped thin liquid CA over them, followed by a healthy dose of CA Kicker. A sort of a black stain appeared underneath - I think soem of the mixture had leaked out somehow. I don't think it's fatal to the model. Try leaving it for a day or two then respray with the primer and see what happens. Generally, I liked all of them but one (British Aces) although I thought the AH book was a little weak and after having the AH Air Aces book, the JaPo Albatros OEF and FMP AH book they wasn't much in new color. I did pass on the British aces book - I just didn't like the duplicate photos I've seen for years and the artist made all the cowlings appear to be unpainted vs.Battleship. IMO if you have Les Rogers book with Bob Pearson's paintings one doesn't need the Osprey book. My favorites are the two SPAD books and the Dolphin and Snipe book. The descriptions on the paint schemes could be better but for the money one can't beat them. See they have a Fokker DVII book coming as well - I have the three Volumes from Albatros so may pass on the book due to duplicate proflies. Am on vacation today and the postman just delivered the DF 94 on the Caudron G.3 36 pages with text by Jon Guttman. Lots of color detail photos on both inside covers of the G.3 at Hendon. Tom, Do you have room to install small I bolts and tie the mono-filiment to the bolts. The bolts can be made from fine steel wire twisted around a #80 drill bit. Drill #80 holes and CA them in place. Next tie one end of the mono to one I-bolt. Feed the other end through the other I-bolt. Loop it around two times and it will stay taught while you tie off a slip knot. A drop of CA will secure both ends. Trim the excess and you are done. I paid $10 for shipping, but I sense that one can talk him down on that . Can you email me the spec table? Let me bang my head against it. regards Sanjeev ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 4580 **********************
