Round parts? Stretched sprue. > the flying wires are double, with > sheathing, and connected to the centre struts with loops in the wire. I picked my mind about how to solve that from a certain individual in northern Europe... I want to try that method! :-) > If you don't do all this, you open yourself to criticism about uneven > level of detailing! Yes, but how fun is try building that, ain't it? Besides the paint job is -at least- started, so new indentations of the surfaces are out of the question. BTW, Lance's method for stringers worked like a charm. Instead of Mr. Surfacer I used Tamiya Putty + acetone > Just bang it together and get rid of it, so we get to see the pictures soon! Need to re- do the photo session for the Albatros and Camel too. I lay it in place and using Testor Liquid (in the bottle) paint over the surface. The glue softens the plastic and the paper stays in place. For the wings, The paper sticks to the ribs and as the glue dries it stretches the paper and you have the fabric look on the surface. This system sounds kind of strange, but it does work. If anyone has one or two of the Renwal Wright flyers they would part with, let me know off list and we will see if we can make a deal.
