Anyway back to the subject, there's a drawing of a Aviatik Berg D.I on page 29 (drawing 14 and drawing 27) with what appears to be metal bands around the fuselage. Well, ...so I got out the O'Connor book and drawings 12 and 13 shows the same bands only less of a thickness. So now I drag out the Datafile and no banding nor do any of the photos show this. Someone making this up? none of the photos I've come across show these. The O'Connor drawings are by Rimmell and he should be accurate. Any thoughts?
