Message-ID: <003f01c1a057$da16a2c0$f2a172d4@FRITZweb> Fellow sufferers, today my winter order fom Hannant's reached me: Albatros D.II Profipack, Battle Axe Fokker D. VII and Hobbycraft SPAD XIII. Came together with a 70 british pound invoice. ( should be around 105 $ or so..). Albatros D.II Profi It's definetely the model's choice. I am crossing the finish line with my 'standard' D.II, but the PE parts for the nose hatches and seatbelts etc are worth the money. Plus, the decals are better and gave more versions to choose from. Battle Axe D.VII It's really a small run kit. Heavy runners, sometimes soft details. But nothing whoch could not be handles. The loz decals are fully acceptable in my view, but tapes have to be cut from own material. If you'll use lozenge tape, the decal material is in short supply I think. But it will make a far better D VII as the 1/28 from Revell, which only has two correct parts: The wheels; they are round. Hobbycraft SPAD I am not much of a SPAD expert, but it seems to be o.k. Some details are surprisingly soft ( cowling!) I have got the 'Aces' version, but I am not too happy with the decals. In my opinion the colours of the roundels are awful. The blues are blue-greys which I really don't like. Don't have alternatives, but I'll found some. It *looked* like a Caudron G.III. Does that help? Which release of the kit do you have? An early or late? The late kits really have bad instructions while the earlier ones were better.
