Avions #70 includes a continuation of the four part Avions series on the SPAD SA line of aircraft, which started in Avions #46. I picked up the issue last night, and there are a bunch of photos in there I've not seen before, even a gruesome one with one of the men cut in half laying next to a destroyed SA. Looking over the photos again, I "discovered" something interesting. It's very evident in the "famous" photo of the two men standeing in front of "Ma Jeanne". There is some sort of tube running from the nacelle to (I think) the cockpit, the tube running along the underside of the starboard nacelle/landing gear strut. Maybe a communication device? I wouldn't think it would have been strung back into the cockpit if it was a "relief tube"... :-) Matt Bittner ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 Dec 2001 14:38:48 EST From: LEONARDPeterL@aol.com To: wwi@wwi-models.org Subject: Re: Speaking of Reviews... The iwdth of the bolts are a bit larger for the Eagle Strike but aside from that, it's hard to see a big difference. I used Micro Sol/Micro Set and they went down fine.
