Maybe your's was the first combat death. My reference is about a squadron that was leaving England to cross the channel to France. He crashed shortly after takeoff. A few (such as the D.Va) have been superceded by modern, more accurate kits from other companies such as Eduard. A parts yard of older issue kit carcasses and bits is indispensible when wringing out these reissues (Just ask Matt). Accuracy is a can of worms I'll let others open. Basically, these can be fun but take a lot of work to accurize. The Pup may be the best of the litter (though the wings and fabric texture are a "challenge"), but the 0/400 is impressive and a well-timed reissue. I think glueing scribed thin plastic on to a core gives the most convincing ribs, certainly in 1/72. It is stated somewhere in the Azur kit boxes that "designed in France". Which, BTW, may be reason for the better overall accuracy. MPM does excellent work on the plastic and resin but they don't seem to be as interested to use (or, perhaps, to pay for) the proper reference material for their own kits.
