And, how long do you let the paint dry before masking, most acrylics, no matter how dry they feel, cure out in less than 24 hours, mixed with Future, 48 hours may be necessary. Whilst I've put my MoS on hold until details re cockpit interior arrive (Thanks Steve!), I've started work on an Eduard 1/72 Albatross DV (non profi-pak). It seems like a good little kit. Moldings seem crisp, parts assembled so seem to go together well. So far I've painted the interior an untreated ply sort of a colour using Gunze sailcloth, with a burnt umber water colour wash, under a Gunze Clear Yellow topcoat. I've given this a thick coat of Matt Varnish which gives it an untreated sort of a look. In terms of the kit, do any list members have any comments about pitfalls etc with the kit? (If any). Also I was going to do the Star Of David black tailed option (Jasta 12 from memory but I could be wrong). Does anyone know who the pilot was for this plane?
