Being a digester, I don't know if you've heard many responses yet.  Please forgive me if this is redundant.

I use Tamiya tape almost exclusively, whether I'm using enamel or acrylic.  I have never once had a problem and would recommend it wholeheartedly.  Not only does it not pull up any paint, but my long layoffs between modeling sessions often means that the tape remains on the model sometimes for months at a time.  Upon removal, it's never left behind any residue.  Prep the surface as you would for good paint adhesion anyway, then use a straightedge and razor to make sure you've got a clean edge of the tape.  (I use a small mirror as a cutting surface for each piece of tape.)

Tom Morgan --part1_c1.1168a636.2890dd42_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit If you were at the Nats you may have seen the Pacific Aero Press stall and
some of the great decals they had of WW Second strut and prop decals.  I have
asked the owner, Chuck Banks, at     pacificaeropress@juno.com     if he's
considering doing WW I strut & prop markings in 1:48 (or I guess even in
1:72).  He says they would need to sell 1000 sheets to make it worthwhile,
and he asked if there were that many of us out there who would be interested.
Well, what do you all think?  Is there the market?

If they get it all on one sheet, I'm sure we'd all buy 1 or 2 or 4 or 5!! apiece and some of us in both scales!! They probably would do a few sheets, Allied, Central Powers, French, British etc... If they are good quality, I think they would have a bunch of winners, especially once the word got out...I would think places like Roll, Rosemont, Hannants, Sopwith and other shops with a large OT base would be interested as well. They would be in on the ground floor as well since there are NO logo sheets out there YET..Pretty good chance to establish market share!!!! I also use drafting tape and parafilm as well. Another product that has worked pretty well for me is the masking clay that (I think) Micro Mark sells. I have never had this pull off any type of paint no matter how long it has been on. I would think that any lo-tack masking tape(Home Depot sells it) would also work. Regular masking tape has never pulled off enamels on me, but it has pulled off Ceramcoat and Polly Scale. HTH!!
