It arrived last evening by prio mail, in excellent condition; the box art is black and white and rather serious looking, not the usual bright, chipper Lego fun sillies with grinning pilots doing strange things. This is a cloud scene and the plane, nowt else. Model looks cool. MANY pieces, some that Lego made specifically for this. I will post some pix to my website if anyone is interested, as soon as I can get some pix. :-) (In our house, Legos tend to get put together MUCH faster than regular models...) Another product for a similar purpose if from Humbrol, can't remember it's name, but I think it's cClearglaze or something like that. Completely different from Krystal Klear, which is a PVA/water based, the Humbrol one comes in their little square jars and appears from smell to use Ammonia as the solvent - it's certainly more 'rubbery' than KK, and doesn't react to water when dry. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jul 2001 09:59:39 EDT From: MAnde72343@aol.com To: wwi@wwi-models.org Subject: List Back Message-ID: <12.10163e99.28917c4b@aol.com> Been getting your messages OK, and the list pages are up as well, welcome back, thanks for the hard work, Al, Merrill ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Jul 2001 22:04:04 +0800 From: "ROBERT BAUMGARTNER" To: Subject: Roland DVIa Message-ID: <002901c115db$d733c580$032aa8c0@robb> Greetings List Merrill wrote >A very nice MAC Roland DVIa is on Hyperscale today. Howdy Michael,

The answer is simple. Start using enamels. They adhere better to the model. Acylics are for kids. :-)

Seriously, you might want to try to find some drafting tape. It is a lower tack form of masking tape. The other options are post it note stickum. I forget the name of the stuff, but Matt knows it. Wet newspaper can work, but is tricky.

Good luck!

Howdy ya'll!

I don't know if ya'll are ignoring my last post on this subject (do I still need to use the secret handshake?) or if the message was lost due to the site moving.

I would appreciate it if someone could scan the Glenco box art of the Nieuport 28. I will be posting some of Marc Flake's work this weekend and I wanted to include this in his page.

Please send it to brent@rollmodels.com

Thank you very much!

Brent
