Message-ID: Hans - I bought some recently from Roll Models. They are shown under the Aeroclub section of their catalog, so they may also be available on-line from them as well. As I remember, Roll Models has them at $9.00 US. I'm at my office, so I don't have my catalog right here to verify that. But both Aeroclub and Roll have web sites (you can get the web url's from the wwi web site). Hope that helps. I've been using Strutz since they first appeared if Windsock, and I'm impressed by their rigidity and easy of use (albeit that I hate all the filing and griding). But I've never had great luck with Contrails - they're just too flimsy and pliable. - Craig Gavin + > From: "Hans Trauner" > Reply-To: wwi@wwi-models.org > Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 12:10:17 -0400 (EDT) > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: Re: Struts problems Was: ... trenches... > > >> This has been on the list recently, Strutz brass strut material is still >> available, and it's already shaped, I got a new pack in the last six > months, >> it's better for 1/48, and has smaller profiles than Contrail for 1/72 >> Merrill > > I have heard about that. Graham: Yes, I painted the background dark green on my first attempt. The brush marks are not convincing in decal form and I would think it difficult to reproduce in decals, however, contientious the manufacturer. I think that it would be more likely that the sworls or whisps were layed down after and they look like they've been done with a rag or brush. Who knows?
