As far as I know you cannot delete mail on your server if you are using MS Outlook. Maybe another listie knows a software which allows you to perform that action but there's none known to me because I wasn't in the case yet. Try to contact your ISP and ask them to delete that file if possible. As for interrupted downloads, this only works for downloads you are doing via FTP or HTML. In that case a program such as GoZilla!, GetRight or DownloadManager manages the download for you and picks it up again where it stopped in case the connection fails. But such programs usually don't work for email. If you still have problems, please contact me offlist and I'll try to help you finding a solution. btw: I would invest the money in a better modem rather than a scanner ;o). It isn't fun anymore to surf the web at snail speed and good 56k modems are available for low prices. Tip: Get you and external modem! You'll always see what it does and if there is a connection or not, which is not the case for internal modem cards. good luck Gaston Graf (ggraf@vo.lu) Meet the Royal Prussian Fighter Squadron 2 "Boelcke" at: http://www.jastaboelcke.de > -----Original Message----- > From: wwi@wwi-models.org [mailto:wwi@wwi-models.org]On Behalf Of > Crawford Neil > Sent: Wednesday, June 13, 2001 11:12 AM > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: sorry, another ot computer question > > > Somebody has sent 7meg to my home computer, probably > one of these video-clips that are doing the rounds. The hostess leans in and tells them their table is ready and the man stands. His date makes a wait gesture, pours the last of his can into his glass, crushes the can on her forehead, hands him his glass and says, 'ok' as she grabs her purse. I have no idea how one can obtain their own copies of the magazines, but they are highly recommended. In fact, a number of list members receive "kudos" from Alberto at the end of the text. Well done, Alberto! Keep 'em coming! Thank you so much. Matt Bittner __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo! Thanks to Diego I now have the BM LVG, BM Oef DIII and Pegasus BE2 all winging their way westward over the Atlantic. The secure credit card online order button refused to work and I had to phone the order in which is probably just as well. The LVG works out to $52 Cdn and the DIII is $46. My local pusher has been trying to sell me the DIII since last year for $78! God only knows what they'll be asking for the LVG! I believe it was Shane who originally suggested I buy from the source. In an effort to offer better service I offer the following solutions: 1) We all live with it 2) I switch the list to only allow subscribers to post Option #2 would inconvience some people who read the digests on the web and occasionally post - they would have to temporarilly subscribe to post. The good news it that no spammer would bother to do that so spam would be pretty much eliminated. Any thoughts on this? If you're a web reader I'd especially like to hear from you.
