It was great meeting other listees this weekend. The aforementioned John Huggins and Marc Flake were there as well as Mike Cavanaugh. I love getting to speak to you all in person instead of emails. I took plenty of pictures this weekend. Somewhere over 250 shots. I snapped a few of the OT models on the table to show the list the turn out we had. I also took photos in the light booth of almost every OT model there. They will appear on the Roll Models site soon. I will also be sending in certain images to Allan if they want them. As usual I don't think I am worthy of the awards I receive. We are always our worst critics are we not? The wood finish on Marc's D.V is just great. I have the name of the fellow with the 1/48 Triplane. I'll post it later. He's another one of these RK types. Just too talented for his health "Oh, this is my second model. It didn't turn out so bad..." I explained the finger chopper to him. Kudos to John Huggins for his triplanes and Gotha too. I didn't do too badly in the vendor room. I found some OT resin kits. There is a no-name Be-2c that I picked up. It's in an odd silvery resin. At first I thought it was plastic, but no. It's very nice. I also picked up two of the old resin Eduard kits: the Fokker D.VI and D.VIII. They are a little crude. However I find them interesting with their funny turquoise resin. Oh yeah, I also picked up some ot biplanes: the Fairy Flycatcher and a Heinkle He-59 (Finnish markings you know). The there is the really ot model of the Typhoon prototype. SP has inspired (infected) me. I found a Merlin Model of the Brandenburg G.I. Boy is it awful. I missed out on a copy of St. Harry's book and another modeler beat me to the 1/48 Short Sunderland. Lone Star Models also makes some excellent Naval Hex decals too. Speaking of Lone Star Models... Guess who is working on a 1/48 Gotha G.I? Mike West says he is bringing one out. I wonder if that is why Bob over at Sierra has been so quiet about his? Mike also says he will have a mixed media Sabatling (sp) out soon. The Junkers will be re-released soon too. We'll see what actually turns up. At any rate, it was a great show. I had a great time. The Nats are going to be great! I can't wait! I rounded off the day by modeling with my boy until about 1:00 am. Eric's Gotha is coming along nicely. I don't think I've botched anything yet. Pictures soon. Happy Memorial Day ya'll. Remember the hereos! I still have # 1 still proudly sitting along side # 106 and by comparison, it's a terrible kit. But that was my skill level at that time and I like to look back and see how far I've come. Message-ID: Jay, Tom, and all you other, I'm sorry for having forgotten to mention that you should *rightclick* on the floppy icon or the screenshots, then choose "save target as" from the menue to download the file if you don't have a download manager installed. This should work. If you have such a manager installed, the file also downloads on a normal click. sorry for the inconvenience Gaston Graf (ggraf@vo.lu) Meet the Royal Prussian Fighter Squadron 2 "Boelcke" at: http://www.jastaboelcke.de > -----Original Message----- > From: wwi@wwi-models.org [mailto:wwi@wwi-models.org]On Behalf Of Jay M. > Thompson > Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2001 6:29 AM > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: RE: WW1 Aces in Action! > > > Ditto, in fact IE locked up on me.
