Lemmy of Motorhead was a big fan, hence the song 'Ramones' on (I think) the 1916 album. They were one of the bands that had a big following by people from a lot of different rock/metal/indie styles. OT content - the title song of the 1916 album is one of the best songs about WW1 I've heard - and it's not your typical Motorhead song either. FWIW Roderick Stanley Dallas came from near where I live in Brisbane, Australia. His sword and medals, some letters and a photo story board - with the photo mentioned - are displayed at the Queensland Museum, a few hundred metres from where I'm sitting now. Dallas was rarely ever called Roderick (or Rod or any variant as far as I know) generally using his middle name, Stan. By either measure of victories he was the second highest scoring Australian behind Bob Little. (lower wing.) Upper wing needed 1 strip along front edge and one along each side. (make sure front is dry before turning wing on it's side) To finish up the wing I found some light blue paint that was a perfect match for the rib tapes, a small brush, and brush painted the trailing edge. I can see no way to get a decal to conform to the scalloped trailing edge, and went with the hand painting. It looks good to me! The doctors put in an emergency chest tube to reinflat his lung and now he is in the hospital so they can watch him and hopefully heal. The doctor said he would have died. Well I'll try to keep you posted, because he will be out for a while, Dave Burke, if you're around give me a call.
