Pierre, a brave French fighter pilot, takes his girlfriend,
Marie, out for a pleasant little picnic by the River Seine.

It's a beautiful day and love is in
the air. Marie leans over to Pierre and says: 'Pierre,
kiss me!' Our hero grabs a bottle of Merlot and splashes
it on Marie's lips.

'What are you doing, Pierre?', says the startled Marie.

'I am Pierre the fighter pilot! When I have red meat,
I like to have red wine!

She smiles and they start kissing. When things began to
heat up a little, Marie says, 'Pierre, kiss me lower.'

Our hero tears her blouse open, grabs a bottle of
Chardonnay and starts pouring it all over her breasts.

'Pierre! What are you doing?' asks the bewildered Marie.

'I am Pierre the fighter pilot! When I have white meat,
I like to have white wine!'

They resume their passionate interlude and things really
steam up. Marie leans close to his ear and whispers,
'Pierre, kiss me lower!'

Our hero rips off her underwear, grabs a bottle of
Cognac and pours it in her lap. He then strikes a
match and lights it on fire.

Marie shrieks and dives into the river. Standing waist
deep in the river, Marie throws her arms upwards and
screams furiously,

'PIERRE, WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?

'Our hero stands up, defiantly, salutes and says,

'I am Pierre the fighter pilot! When I go down,
I go down in flames!'

Jim, I retired for the second time a couple of years ago and I wish I had a full-time job. I would get more modeling done! Somehow, this retirement just isn't working out the way I thought it would. I hope you have better luck with yours. Thank goodness we haven't heard from the Linux folks (which is a fine choice for server platforms, btw), who will instantly assure us that it runs every app (even incompatible ones) better than anything ever invented. It not only never crashes, but installing it on a single machine will prevent any other machine within a ten mile radius, regardless of OS, from crashing. It's totally and completely impervious to all viruses and worms. It cures halitosis, solved world hunger last week, and has embarked on a little venture to colonize Mars. Ease of use? While all those silly Wintel and Mac folks are *clicking* (how quaint) on things to open them, all Linux users have to do is type /dev/hambone/subddev/open -rq -uix -linuxRULES ./fgz..launchpt/oq -rtgf xwindow and a single window will open! I can understand his frustration, I have often felt the same way about the IBM computers I have to work with, what you work with daily is what irritates you most. But Gaston is wrong complaining about the trains, he should complain about the passengers who aren't prepared to pay enough, so he can get a German train. This got me thinking about quality, what is quality, is it really worth having? What the French traditionally have been really good at is , fairly good quality to a low price. The Germans OTOH have always excelled at quality, but very few can afford it. Somehow I got thinking of WW1 a/c, and the Pfalz DIII in particular, there is a plane that oozes quality, everything nicely streamlined, a really neat looking bird. But fairly useless as a fighter. Compare it to the Spad VII, thats square, lots of rigging, the nose cowlings don't seem to fit very well, if I didn't love them I'd have said they were a mess. But it was a magnificent fighter. Also I think they were affordable, which the Pfalz wasn't, at least the Germans never had enough of them. What price quality? /Neil ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 3265 **********************
