Walther's catalog has Grandt Line and assorted other miniature details. You also might want to consider getting the Waldron Sub-Miniature Punch and die set. This set, while rather pricey, does make some MINUTE STUFF!!! I mulled over buying it for quite some time and now think it was definitely worth it. You can punch out disks, stack them if you need thickness and round them off with sandpaper. A little time consuming, bit results are fairly consistent. Just another way to think about! The problem is that my MiL gave me her old Epson printer(Stylus Color 600) and on the disk for the printer driver is PhotoDeluxe 1.0. I'd like to load this and start doing work with it, but it's asking for a serial #, which I don't have of course. I was hoping to find someone who might have this program and wouldn't mind sharing their serial #. Bob Pearson sent me a number from his disk, but ti didn't work. He may have a later version, as my disk is dated 1997. If you have version 1.0, and don't mind sharing the serial, I certainly would appreciate it. Thanks again for the reply. For all French subjects (well, almost all - I still have to list the Farmans and Voisins, and some others) your best bet is to start at my French pages at the WW1 site. Go to "Modeling infomation", or some such (forget what it is - third down on the first page, I believe) and look on that page. You'll find lists of references, what others think about the kits (especially in 1/72nd - odd, but you would think with all the 1/48th builders on this list no one will commit to helping me out on this), aftermarket, etc. Matt Bittner ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 18 Mar 2001 17:15:51 -0800 (PST) From: Todd Hayes To: wwi@wwi-models.org Subject: References For Vickers FB5 " Message-ID: <20010319011551.69237.qmail@web11103.mail.yahoo.com> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? My mail was sent and I didn't intend to send it yet. I'm looking for references on the FB5. The DF on it is on the way. Does anyone know of any good sources on this a/c besides the DF? And for those who already have this title, how good is it as a reference? TH __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo! The late wingtips were squared off. There was an article on this in an old issue of Windsock. The wing tips must be added to with milliput or some other type of putty for accurate size. If you just cut them down square you will loose about 1/2" off each wing, and in 1/28 scale this is about 1 foot. Both Rickenbacker & Luke had late model Spads with the square wing tips. In 1/48 scale the DML kit shows these square wingtips correctly, I think the Testors or Aurora kit had the rounded wingtips. Any squadron markings shown? Also is there a datafile on the 2 seat Nieuports? any useful interior shots in this one? I'll have to take another look at the FMP book, I saw a few photos in the N.12 section, once again mostly British. I'll have to check the N.10 section.
