However, if what you claim is true, this proves my point. The judges hands are forced since by your argument, a 1/48th Fokker D.VII must be better than a 1/72nd scale one, given they have the same amount of errors. It's more difficult to put the same detail in a 1/72nd scale kit so forcing them into the same category puts it at a disadvantage. I suspect this has to do with the freedom to exchange data and ideas, etc. The question I've had ever since I have been paying attention to this list Allan, is how you are able to maintain the wwi site on a university computer. The issue never came up with me when I worked at FSU, but I think that the use of computer resources on something like the wwi web site would have been frowned upon. The university policy officially allows this activity because it does not infringe on the sanctioned use of the equipment (as my primary desktop system), is of an educational manner (WWI), and has no comercial element. (no banners or ads). Trust me I've triple-checked that this is allowed. In fact my boss specificly encourages this activity as some of the skills I use in maintaining the list/website keep my skills tuned for 'real' work. Here at UNH I do web programming and also run many research mailing lists for our customers :-) As long as I work at UNH we have a home for the list and website....and I hope to work here until I retire so that's another 26-31 years. Grabbed the Glencoe Pfalz DIII and the Nieuport 28 C for $14 and $11 CDN respectively. I passed on the Revell spad and the 28 scale DR1 and DVII (which I already have) ot I grabbed a Tamiya Rufe in 48 scale for $11 Cdn also.
