A little expensive for only one subject, but they are spot on registration wise and colors are very nicely done. Highly recommended if you don't mind the price - $6.99 direct from Barry. Use only topclasse quality! They are more expensive than te usual hobby brushes but worth the price. Also it is very important to control the consistency of the paint. For brush painting it may be thicker than for airbrush painting but thin enough to keep it flowing freely from the brush. Compare it to ink if you want. If it's flowing like ink from the brush then it's ok. Also it is always better to apply several thin layers of paint than one thick layer. There was a time I was a member of the Luxembourg Model Club as it still was a real modeling club - it changed to a rather collectors club of old tin toys now so I left. Well, we had a member who was a big fan of American firstrucks. Rob, your kind offer to go out and purchase one is most appreciated, but it looks like we have it covered. Thanks. I wrote to the teacher, Ms. Lyon, and let her know that we have rounded up WWI kits for each of her students and wanted to send them out to her. I will report to the List as soon as I receive a response from her. sp ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Jan 2001 12:41:49 +0100 From: Crawford Neil To: "'WW1 list (E-mail)'" Subject: RE: Avions OT content - correction Message-ID: I have to correct the below, the RAF were only losing 5 a/c for every german, in France '41. Pretty awful even so, how bad was it during the Fokker scourge? Also I forgot to mention an interesing advertisment for 2 new books about Caudron, vol 1 1908-27 and vol 2 1928-44, if you buy both they cost 290 fr. each, they seemed extremely good. I can supply more details if anyone is interested. /Neil > -----Original Message----- > From: Crawford Neil > Sent: den 8 januari 2001 16:38 > To: WW1 list (E-mail) > Subject: Avions OT content > > I got my first copy of Avions on Friday (no.94 January 2001). > > OT content was an article about Nieuports in Czeckoslovakian service.
