The Voisan is still listed as a special order item. The Sikorski w/wheels is the same price as the Voisan. If I have to wait for my order, so be it, considering Linden Hill Imports want about twice the Avia Press price for the ski version $38/$75. I ordered both. I e-mailed Avia about means of payment. CC only, but they did reply within two days. I can't see why they would take very long to arrive, since they're in stock and delivery is by airmail. Is it like a gong or something? >(who has to buy a flute and a clarinet this weekend - now that cuts >into >the modelling budget! ) "We" getting piano lessons (groan). At least we have a piano. I was pushing for guitar. BTW, since I was sick at home today, I spent a fair amount of time perusing Bob Pearson's CD of profiles. Excellent tonic. I saw an Albert Ball Nieuport 17 profile that was just the ticket. I recommend this CD BTW. Available from Bob Pearson himself - guitar player. I emailed Colin Adair a week or so back with positive comments (like many others) after the post indicating they may pull back from OT stuff. I suggested that they might like to think about using the WWI list in a number of ways - e.g. publicity (think of all the great builds in the gallery), research etc., provided they asked first of course. I included a link to my Eduard DV on the cook up site. I got back the standard reply that others have received with no reference to the suggestions for help. I don't know what cables one is using in the US but I think sizes will be similar to European cables. I remove the plastic cover and pull out the single wires which I glow red over a candle before using because this takes the wires structural tension away and softens it so it will stay in place wherever you put it. Because the wires are available in different thickness it is very handy to detail engines with lines. happy modeling Gaston Graf (ggraf@vo.lu) Meet the Royal Prussian Fighter Squadron 2 "Boelcke" at: http://www.jastaboelcke.de > -----Original Message----- > From: wwi@pease1.sr.unh.edu [mailto:wwi@pease1.sr.unh.edu]On Behalf Of > Todd Hayes > Sent: Friday, November 17, 2000 9:50 AM > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: 1:48 Scale Rigging Wire > > > Can anyone suggest a source for fine scale wire for > rigging? > > TH > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
