OTOH, I have caught a few Imrie errors myself, so I guess that even the most researched and educated among us can screw up. I agree with some of his points though, that there could have been more info on the aces, etc. I don't know about 'competently done' artwork. I usually find that phrase in conjunction with stuff that someone finds to be not quite up to snuff, but that they don't feel like openly criticizing. Me, I find that there are some shortcomings in the 'Albatros Aces' book, but I wouldn't get rid of it for the world. Well, maybe for the world. I like the color work, and there's useful stuff in it. In short, I like the book, and it's nice to see Osprey devote attention our way. You re right, and many have stated on the Luftwaffe board, me included, that any good modeler will check sources and pictures before going with any profile, as they are just interpretations. esp since sometimes colors dont come out well when they go to print. Linden Hill is putting in an order for me for the 1:48 Voisan Type 3 LAS. From what I've been told, these kits are extraordinary for their quality. I agree with DB - I wouldn't be without these books. Mine have both been loaned out to several strictly ot aircraft modellers - and resulted in at least two of them buying Eduard kits. There are many really cool Russian Nieuports that are shown in the Russian book I mentioned a few days back .. I have since found it available at http://www.articlesofwar.com go to teh WW1 aviation section and it is called " Aviation in the Civil War in Russia" [russian text] . . .
