I mixed 50-50 Russian underside blue and US Navy blue-gray and came up with - Navy blue gray. At the moment it works well as a primer, but it's not the right shade IMHO. Any suggestions? I found that Testors Green Drab looks good for my cowling and metal parts color. I was wondering about opinions for the following parts - where I have an idea what it should be, I'll put it down: Interplane struts: turquoise with dark green metal fittings landing gear struts: turquiose? Cabane struts - blue or green. Suggestions? Wheel covers - green Firewall: riffled metal? The cockpit looks pretty good. I even added a representation of the turquoise in the CDL in the cockpit and added wood veneer for the ply pieces, as well as the tube framing and wood frame. A labor of love? Maybe. Just hope I give birth by Wednesday P.M.!! I can vaguely remember drawings of the fuselage structure, and details of the nacelles. I have no idea if it's possible to find anything this old, but for what it's worth - here it is.
