"Revell-Monogram, the world's leading producer of plastic model kits and die cast replicas, remains a business unit of Binney & Smith, Inc., maker of Crayola products." Admittedly, R-M hasn't had much OT in a long time, but since from everything I heard R-M Development Group LLC was a group of people who actually cared about Revell and Monogram as producers of plastic models, there was sure a helluva better chance of future developments becoming "interesting" there than under the continuing care and maintainence of B-S (an interesting an appropriate acronym). I decided to make it into an AFC Strutter so am trying to print up decals that have the serial and red stripe with white kangaroo. I did the graphic and printed the decal with a bubblejet, it printed no worries, but not overly detailed. The red came through like a brickwall, but I painted over it and it looked alright. The problem is at 1/72, despite using 256 colours, at 360 dpi there isnt enought detail to get the full shape of the kangaroo. Do any of those printing decals up on Alps or something else have tips to achieve the clarity needed.... ???? Im thinking it might be better shot to mask of the shape of the Kangaroo and spray red onto the decal sheet, but again at 1/72 the kangaroo shape is complex and small, especially to cut out. The Hustad image is very dark, but after playing with the image, the serial number does come out matching the above. There isn't any black stripe however, just a red/white band, although the initials are on a black panel. This is clearly shown in the above mentioned photo. Some other interesting, but hardly seen, details are that the nose is black as is the band around the tailplane.
