Juelch" To: wwi@pease1.sr.unh.edu Subject: Blue Max Update Message-ID: <38061BEB.FAFE09C0@earthlink.net> Chris Gannon (Blue Max/Pegasus) stands behind his products. I have the Blue Max Bristol Fighter, which has a severe case of the infamous "wing ripples" on all four wings, top and bottom. One of the wings on my Blue Max Halb. CL.II is grossly over thick and distorted, and my Blue Max Camel is missing one wheel. Today I received a package of replacement parts for all of these problems, plus Mr.Gannon threw in a Pegasus Alb. C.III for my troubles. After e-mailing him to confirm receipt of the package and thanking him for everything, he followed up with an e-mail apologizing for sending the free C.III, since I was apparently only interested in 1/48--good grief, I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased to receive ANY free kit! (wonder if I could have wangled a free 1/48 Alb.D.III oef out of him?) All the replacement parts are practically flawless. Mr. Gannon assured me that he strives to ship a quality product and if there are ever any problems with his kits please do not hesitate to contact him. He also tipped me off on his planned releases for 2000/2001. For your anticipatory pleasure, here they are, all Blue Max 1/48: Sopwith Snipe Sopwith Dolphin LFG Roland D.VIb Phonix D.I Bristol M1C Supermarine Spiteful--ot but !!!! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 15 Oct 1999 05:18:18 +1000 From: Shane & Lorna Jenkins To: WW1 posts Subject: Re: Grosser Kurfurst anyone? I remember the discussion, but the kit did not come from me. The worst on topic kit I have ever seen, or owned, is the Merlin 1/48 Albatros D.II, followed closely by any other Merlin kit you would care to name. It's here. First I would publicly thank Bob Pearson. You'll see why. First, I have updated the 1/48th Salmson stuff. Thanks all. More importantly, check out the new color section. This is a dream I have been having for presenting French schemes in general. There are a lot of different five-color schemes, for example, due to different manufacturers of a certain aircraft, for example a Kellnor versus a SPAD SPAD 13. Keep in mind this is only a start, and far from complete. Who knows how long it will take to get everything up. :-) Now for my other dream: a new injected SPAD 7 and 13, done either by Eduard or Flashback. :-) Once more: http://home.sprintmail.com/~tbittners/ Matt Bittner http://www.geocities.com/~ipmsfortcrook http://www.discoveromaha.com/community/groups/plasticmodelers/index.html ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 1921 **********************
