Careful, lest we Canadians beat you again - we're only outnumbered ten to one, and we consider those quite reasonable odds. If I may quote your own General George C. Marshall, "Few Americans learn that we enrolled nearly four hundred thousand men in the Revolutionary War to defeat an army that numbered less than forty-five thousand, or that we employed half a million in 1812 against an opponent whose strength never exceeded sixteen thousand at any one place, and fewer still have learned why these overwhelming numbers were so ineffective." Like I said, ten-to-one ain't bad odds... And back to your comment, like the rest of the civilized world, we divide the duties of Head of Government and Head of State. And by the way, the Queen is also Lord of Man (the Isle of Man) and is Head of State in various Commonwealth nations. And it looks like our pincer movement should secure Discount Hobbies in Utica for Canada. A mare usque ad mare. I showed my passport and asked them to mail the stuff to me - so, no VAT. Since I lived close to a British Forces Post Office at the time, they mailed it there and so I only paid UK domestic postage as well - the best of both worlds. I found the staff helpful, especially as I was reducing their stock of Dynavector kits! I visited the main store as well but, like others, didn't find the there staff particularly communicative and I carried on to the RAF Museum - which also has a good gift shop with a wide selection of books and a choice of models as well. As I am only too aware, unless a birth certificate surfaces claiming the Queen was born in the township of Woy Woy, Im looking forward to the day in 2001 when Australia becomes a republic, has an Australian Head of State and Head of Government and is finally truly a democracy not just a pseudo or ersatz democracy. >And it looks like our pincer movement should secure Discount Hobbies in >Utica for Canada.
