I recommend a daily or weekly trashing of your cache anyway, same with history if you have that as they do tend to eat up memory and hinder viewing of updated websites if you forget about it. Just another "heads up" of WWI aircraft bits and pieces up for auction on ebay. This includes the broken blade of a German propeller (some of the markings are provided) with a metal tip, a photo of a crashed plane, and a very scruffy piece of material purported to be plane fabric. For those who like such things.... http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=98624037 Also, there was recently some mention on this list about the clocks in british planes and how pilots who crashed their planes were instructed to ensure they take the clock with them from the wreckage. This weekend I was reading Grinnell-Milne's "Wind in the Wires" and came across the following: "The eight-day luminous watch was the one item on the instrument board which appealed to all men. It was easily detachable, so easily that any machine left untended for more than a few minutes was invariably looted of its valuable timepiece. The first thing a pilot had to remember, no matter how serious the crash, was to unscrew the watch." Grinnell-Milne had a series of crashes and kept forgetting to take the watch with him... Planes of Fame in Chino and the San Diego Aerospace Museum (an hour and a half south) are certainly worth staying over a day or two. I crashed and lost the last 2 years of email. So anyone who was expecting an answer on anything you're out of luck. The annoying thing is I did a complete backup last night and yet the computer refuses to find them (but they are still there as I still have that amount of my HD occupied) . I even reinstalled the files from my backup discs and 2nd HD and no luck. and if I try to imprt them off the backup into Outlook I crash . .. I knew I should have printed out the important ones. .
