I was just cruising through ebay and came across something which I have never seen available for auction before. It is the log book (*Borduch fur das Flugzeug") for a particular aircraft - Halberstadt CL IV # 4652/18. The book apparently includes the test flight entries and a blue barometer sheet. Of course, I went scrambling to my files to see if I could find any record of this particular plane - no such luck. A model of the plane with the book alongside would make a fabulous display. Not a cheap pleasure, however - the bidding starts at $400, which is a bit outside of my snack bracket. Most of my pictures show nice glossy wings. The lighting angle must be wrong because none of the pics I have show the fuse as being glossy. Were only the wings glossy? Thanks!
