First off by lifting over the side by crane, recovery likewise. Later from deck type carriers. Looks like an 'on deck' setting is appropriate, and maybe easier than water. Anyone got any references on what real early Brit carrier decks were like, and what a handling trolley for a Baby was like? I have one photo of a landed Baby with two trolleys under the two main floats, and the rear float on a trestle. I would guess that on ship a/c not actually being handled would be in some kind of cradle?
