Robert asks what new projects are flowing from my pen? Well, I'm working on an article about Confederate General W. H. F. "Rooney" Lee, which I hope to flog to "Civil War Times Illustrated" or some other tome as that. The stuff comes out of my research on a biography of him, which is about 75% finished. But as a result of the Wolff research, I'm working to discover more about the elusive Norman Miers MacGregor, and hope sometime next year or the year after to send the results to OTF. And, as anyone who knows me at all well could probably guess, :-) The WW1 biography in progress, to be announced later, is on Wolff. There's got to be some family info *somewhere*.... ;-) All I know for sure is that whichever relatives adopted him after his mom and dad died, already had a son of their own who was a few years older than the Blu"mlein and was already married by the time the war broke out; and that Wolff's fiancee, Maria Martha Bo"meleit, apparently never married, for she was still listed as a Fraulein and by her maiden name in the credits for Thor Goote's marvelous MvR novel, published in the mid-'thirties, called _'Rangehen ist Alles!_ (which essentially translates out to "the attack is everything!", and in which Wolff plays a large part). So that's pretty much what's doing between me, my pen, and my word processor.... :-) Thanks so much, everyone, for all the nice comments about the article! I'm delighted everyone seems to like it so! :-) Cheers, Sharon (Whose internet provider seems to be okay again...for now....) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Dec 1998 21:07:32 -0600 From: mbittner@juno.com (Matthew E Bittner) To: wwi@pease1.sr.unh.edu Subject: Latest PART photoetch Message-ID: <19981203.210732.-883239.0.mbittner@juno.com> Just received the last PART photoetch (thanks, you know who you are ;-)).
