International R/C scale competition rules currently favor WWI aircraft. At the recent meet in South Africa, 9 of the top 10 models were WWI! The HP is a fantastic job. Thanks for sharing it with us mere mortals (YOU ARE A GOD!) Just kidding, I've been watching too much Zena and Hercules lately. In case you were unaware of it the French also used the Sopwith Triplane. 18 of them were used by a maritime escadrille based at Dunkerque - I have two photos of these, and should be getting some shots of individual machines soon. I would be interested if anyone knows what the French opinion of these machines was. Regards, Bob Pearson For anyone else the full URL of Yves' Tripehound photo is http://www.histoire.org/asso14-18/Exposition/23.htm ---------- > From: Yves Buffetaut > To: wwi-l@raven.cc.ukans.edu > Subject: Re: Sopwith Triplane photos > Date: Sat, 03 Oct 1998 16:45:34 +0100 > > If you're interested in Sopwith Triplane photos, please have a look at > our association's web site.
