Anyway the cover is the new ICM model of the T-35 with the five turrets (I have to build ***something*** between rigging the Aeroclub Fee...) basically if it's ugly and unique, I'll probably build it. T-35 is on the mark in both areas.. Anyway I had several emails back and forth with Cookie Stewart who did a kit review on the model on a armor web site one asking what color Russian Green did he recommend. Much to my surprise the answer was a pre-1940 'orche brown' ('Protective Brown' to Russian military). This was verified by emails he'd had with Steve Zaloga who's heavily involved with eastern European armor. So if there are any other closet Soviet armor modelers on the list, if you build this kit don't follow the kit's instructions (recommend green) or the review in MMIR. WWI aircraft colors are so much easier.....8-) ---------- > From: Mike Fletcher > To: Multiple recipients of list > Subject: new drawings > Date: Tuesday, September 01, 1998 9:19 PM > > I have just added drawings of various ww1 aircraft engines to my site at > mars.ark.com/~mdf/nieuport.html though most are of French origin > (Clergets, LeRhones, Hispanos, Gnomes), I also have drawings of the BMW > IIIa and Oberursel UR2 and UR3. > I also have some interior drawings of a ww1 Renault tank if anyone is > interested I will email copies. > > Mike Fletcher > (working on gorbachev/russian Nieuport.IVG) ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Sep 1998 12:17:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Patrick Padovan To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Small Scale Confession: Message-ID: Uh, Matt? Listen, if these don't all get snatched up prior to your getting my message, I'd love to have ANY that are left! I have all of the Revell 1/28 kits, and as always with these, the problem is finding decals to go with them. So, if there are any that haven't been claimed already, keep me in mind. I think your idea of giving them away set piecemeal instead of as entire sheets is excellent! As you say, share the wealth. I'm not asking for an entire sheet, just ANY of the individual markings that are still available.
