A/G doesn't specify the source for the green color shown for the tail surfaces, but gives a color "dot" to match (as well as dots for the red outline/spinner color and the fuselage grey) I matched the green and red with Floquil RR colors, "Southern Green" and "ATSF Red". You will obviously want to match these to colors of the paint brand you prefer, but this should be a start. A/G decals are available by direct mail order only. If needed, I can supply their address, but it's in every FSM. Have Fun!! I sanded all of the molded in tubing and stuff off in the fuselage and used white glue to install a finely wolven cloth commonly used by model shipbuilders for sails to the inside. I then washed it with a brownish grey thinned wash and let dry this was just to take the pristine white away and make it appear more natural. I then installed to wood veneer strips cut in the shape of the two wooden fillets on the DR1. I then sprayed testors dullcoat into a lid and liberaly brushed it over the entire interior cloth and wood and all, this gave it a semi satin finish which iI hope reproduces the look of vanish and dope applied to linen. I then began the ardous work( read that labor of love) of installing and fabricating the tubing BTW I am going to paint black be it right or wrong (which seems to be anybodys guess) only because i seriously doubt it would have been left untreated and bare in the environment that these a/c had to fly. I am right in the middle of that feat now so far so good. I am also scrathbuilding a floor board out of wood and the cotrol stick which I hope to actually make move at least in pitch I am still trying to work out the roll trick but hey nobody will know it works but me any way. There are many *free* web based e-mail accounts popping up. You might = consider them. If you have a library nearby, often, they have free = dial-up that you can use. You might not get PPP, but text based web = only. But then again, that's all e-mails are anyhow... The volume of mail has become too much for this company owned account, and as one of those charged with its maintenance I can no longer in conscience continue to use it. Personal issues currently prevent my affording a private account, so I must instead wish you all the best, thank you for your time, good humour and endless assistance, and say goodbye Shane (PS - I may pop in for a day every month or so to help keep Matt in line ;-) ------ =_NextPart_000_01BCB6FA.99CD9E80 Content-Type: application/ms-tnef Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 It was interesting to hear one local radio announcer make mention of the fact that they had contacted all of the four " Women's Magazines " for comment regarding the role ( if any ) of the Media in the death of HRH the Princess of Wales. Having fed ( even gorged ) unrelentingly for years on the profits of the hounding of this poor woman, not one representative of these magazines was made available or had the ( journalistic ) integrity [ an oxymoron !? ] to step forward, not one !! These folk were remarked on by the announcer as the self-same organizations who flood the offices of radio shows across the country looking for air-time and exposure for their ( in my own view ) purile and intellectually undemanding products. Thanks to those who said goodbye, I'll miss you. Regarding the photos I took at the AWM a couple of months back: I promise that when the doctors are finished stripping me of funds I'll get a set printed and off to Al for posting on the Web. Also, those of you who wanted an individual set - I have a list and will get to you too.
