I was wondering if anyone had already built the kit, and found any accuracy problems that need to be taken care of. After a brief look at the kit, I already know that the cockpit will require a lot of help. I also know that the top of the fuselage is missing the raised areas created by the fuselage formers. Neither of these items are a big deal to correct. I just don't want to overlook something that isn't so obvious and find out about it later. Thanks for any help, Paul Howard ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Feb 1997 22:35:29 -0500 From: bucky@mail.prolog.net (Mary-Ann/Michael) To: wwi, Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: The big crash Message-ID: <199702210335.WAA05126@pease1.sr.unh.edu> At 06:43 PM 2/18/97 -0500, KENNETH L HAGERUP wrote: > > >How about an Albatros Triplane? A monoplane camel is interesting...I'll look in the Camel File and see if there are some plans. I don't have the current kit but your description sounds like a fair approximation of DV D1033/17, apparently the a/c MvR was flying when he was shot down on June 6, 1917. I'd be inclined to favor mauve/green for the wings rather than light/earth pale green but I'll leave the final word on that to Erik who has done a more through study of Albatros colors than have I. I believe we're still using the $US over here; but, perhaps I'll check.... ;^) Cheers, Erik :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "If you're not living Life on the edge, you're taking up too much room!" .............................................................................. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 21 Feb 1997 12:17:04 -0600 (CST) From: Joseph Gentile To: wwi Subject: Re: Re[2]: DOH! They have some other ragwings as well. They can be found at www.lonestarmodels.com They have a page titled something like "Other Manufacturers Products". Go to the aircraft M-Z section and lo and behold there they are. Good luck and buy them all! Joe ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 441 *********************
