Places to get them from would be Hannants Lowestoft branch (who do mainly mail order and take all credit cards etc.) or Four Plus (who are smaller, friendly, but i don't think handle credit cards). I haven't got either address with me but i think Hannants are on the web page of addresses. This is the best news that I've had today. My wife will be thrilled when I tell her that we have to go to England again. She'll probably be less than thrilled when I tell her the reason, but she's a real good sport. I dragged her through RAF Hendon for about 4 hours year before last. ---Stephen Tontoni ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Apr 1996 11:54:26 -0800 (PST) From: Erik Pilawskii To: ww1 mailer Subject: Seattle IPMS meet Message-ID: Hi All, Just a quick mention for those of you who didn't go.... ;^) Went to the the Seattle IPMS meet on Saturday. It was fair event-- little on the small side, perhaps, but a nice collection of aircraft (et al.). For the size of the venue, a 'fair' showing of WWI a/c. Of note, there were two 1/48 scale (cheek!) Fokker D.VIIs that were very nice, executed by a modeler who's name escapes me, but who's son is going to attempt to hook up on the net. The most fun, however, was the chance to run into a couple of Net folks from our group-- Mike Franklin and Stephen Tontoni. Both very nice chaps! The three of us did not manage to sport a WWI entrant between us (oh, the shame...), but we've promised to repent in a future meet scheduled at the Boeing Museum of Flight. Wouldn't it be great, I wonder, if we couldn't all meet (ok, most of us-- kinda hard for the overseas types!) at some big whatever? Or, heck, maybe we could meet in England one year and overrun a Shuttlewoth demo! Now, that'd be an event to remember!.... Plus the vendor room was a circus! I probably spent US$60 in there and I wasn't really looking for anything in particular. I just couldn't walk away on some of this good stuff. Got a Hasegawa He51, Matchbox Fairey Seafox, Hasegawa Macchi C.205, and several other really cool doo-dads.
