To all: Four Years of Thunder is a four part program; it will be played from start to finish from 3:00 PM Eastern time, Saturday September 21. Don't understand how the"five hour" notion got started, unless for programming reasons, History intends to repeat the fourth hour. It is a bargain, if I do say so myself!! Message-ID: <960921151950_290031013@emout01.mail.aol.com> I'm sorry to say that I have lost track of my posts (some would say my wits as well). Do I owe any one an answer on WW I tanks in general or Marks I-V particular? BTW, in my search through variuos publications, I have found a lot of misidentified Mark II's and III's as Mark I's and IV's. Just thought you might like to know that you need to crosscheck. Also, the Aeroclub RE.8 looks to be a real winner, is it already out in the UK? Dunno. The angle of this photo is such that it'd be really tough to say, one way or another, whether there was striping on the upper wing. Certainly there is nothing in the photo that looks like striping but, on the other hand, the photo really only shows the top wing's under surface and the light reflection on the leading edge would pretty much wash out any evidence of stripes in that location, even if they where there. So, at least from this photo, I guess the answer is a big "maybe" - although, quite frankly, I'd always just kinda assumed the stripes were there.
