The other number should know if another number is needed, but since I only got one hour ("Bloody April") last nite and two were scheduled ("Black September") there may be some problem. On reviewing the HC web site, one place it says that show is 2 hours long (and the weekly schedule), but in another it says it's only one hour. Also, I tried to get a listing on the tapes for that series in the 'History Collector' and got nothing for "Four Years of Thunder." That's why I think you may have to use the number they give on the show to order these tapes. Sorry if I messed anyone up. As a relative newcomer to WWI modeling, I can easily testify that the first question I had, desiring to build a model of, say, the Fokker DVII, was which kit to buy! Unless you just assume that more $$$ is better, you don't know whether to buy a $4 Smer kit (not knowing that was really an Aurora kit) or a $20 DML kit. It is not obvious, without having built both, what you are getting for the extra money, etc. As it has also been mentioned, kits within same manuf. vary in quality. Ditto the above for books. Please, no acronyms (what's NASM?) and list sources whenever possible. I can already wholeheartedly recommend one for modelers interested in the Flying Circus: "von Richthofen's Flying Circus, Colours and Markings of Jagdgeschwader Nr. 1" the title of the first in a series of Windsock Fabric Specials from Albatros Publications (source: Rosemont Hobby Shop 610-398-0210). Thanks for the idea and I for one am looking forward to the info! However, that was the original batch of Accuflex. I have not tried the latest incarnation of it, but it's worth a try. The only real drawback is that this line of paint has mostly railroad colors and a small selection of military colors. Most places that I've found that carried Accuflex carried only the railroad line. I called up Squadron Shop, and he pulled a kit for me and checked the decals - sure enough, LO! Thanks again for your help, and this may be a good tip to share with the list, since it is not obvious from the box or kit description! By the way, for those who haven't followed this thread, that's Smer DVII kit #0103. Also, a shameless plug for Squadron Shop wouldn't hurt. I think that's pretty good when an outfit of their size is willing to go pull a kit, take off the cellophane and check the decals for a customer on the phone! It seems like SMER first put out the one you mention with the Czech markings. Adter that started to sell, they put the same model out in a new box with new decals. I just finished looking at the box, but I can't find a kit # etc. The only guidance I can give is the box is a "newer" looking one wuth a blue abd red D-VII(Berthold) on the front and back. No way to tell tha LO! is inside except if you know it. Good luck. Mike ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 264 *********************
