Went up twice on 50 h.p. Bleriot and did very well. The machines quite a good deal. Landing easy with it. Loafed most of all day. Got 3 flights in late p.m. and went fairly well but had to work strenuously against the bad air pockets and wind. One needs his nerve and needs to be quick and sure of himself in this sport. Its no picnic up there. Mighty lonely for Gerty. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Aug 1996 15:05:21 +0000 From: SOPWITH@worldnet.att.net To: wwi Subject: Re: Datafile ? and new ? What a splendid idea! Let me weigh in with my 2 cents worth. From my point of view..the average modeller with enough knowledge to make me dangerous, I would love to see something that correlates known manufacturers of paint with the original colors. Instead of just using Fed Standard or metheun references, how about something like: PC 10...a lot like Polly Scale earth brown, etc. No matter what, Matt, it's a large undertaking and I wish you well. I'kk use it no matter what the final outcome. If so, many thanks. My e-mail system crashed shortly after I received them and my wife accidentally threw away your letter. I used them just recently to finish a Hannoveranner Cl-III in Polish markings. How"s the Breguet coming along?
