Brasso is great for rubbing out scratches in plastic and Easy-Off oven cleaner does work as a paint remover. I've used it successfully on a couple of n-scale engines (I'm also a model railroader.> I have to try it on a rudder and tailplane off of a DML DVIII that I botched, but I'm pretty sure it will work. Lastly, I seem to remember, way back in the late sixties/early seventies that you could use draino to remove chrome plating from model car parts. Never tried it and I believe there is a much safer method today, again I just can't recall what it is. Len _ Sorry, the Dog ate my Blue Wave packet. Flying quite a lot in a.m. Did 2 excellent flights. Review Presentation of medals to five officers in later part of p.m. Big affair and lots of people on hand to look on Liberty until midnight. Went into Buc with fellows in evening and got pretty full! Quite a party with some of the instructors and champagne flowed freely and happily. Its 17 months since I left N.Y. ------------------------------ End of WWI Digest 196 *********************
