I'm working on a DH4 and an Albatross DV and the picture I have do not clearly show how closely these surfaces meet. I look forward to hearing from anyone with an opinion on this topic. On the the other hand, the wings did fit snug against the fuselage unlike, say, the SVA 5, which had a visible gap between the wing and the fuselage. So, I would think what you want is no visible gap on the wing roots but no 'fairing' effect either - either a clean, sharp 90 degree angle (or whatever the dihedral is) where wing meets fuselage or, if you can manage it, a 'line' equivelent to an incused panel line. As Bill said, it depends on the a/c being modeled. There was a thread on r.m.s about panel lines being too small to see in 1/72nd, so why bother? However, I'm of the opinion that if it's on the real thing, then so be it on the model. So, if it looks like a seam should be there, maybe don't make it a seam, but draw it in to make it "look" like a seam. > PS: Where's everybody been of late?
