Looking for standard cowling colour on US JN-4's. Was it the same as on Canadian Jennies which I am interested in modelling? I've seen references that state dark green, brown, khaki, mid green. Are any or all of these possible? I've been forced to >remove him from the list until I hear from him. If you know him let him know >that his mail account is toast. > Arrgh! No Al, don't do it! Actually, while the traffic on the list has been a little light of late, I've been receiving mail off the list real regular like right up until this morning. I just sent a 'review' command to the list server for a list of subscribers and I think I see what the problem is. The list server sez I am still subscribed under my old domain name of 'ednet1.osl.or.gov' and not subscribed under my current domain name of 'orednet.org'. I think what happen is that under the 'crash' of a week or so ago, I somehow got resubscribed under my old domain name as well as my current domain name. Of course the old domain name is officially 'dead' so any mail addressed there will bounce. Then, you got tired of getting bounced mail and went in and unsubscribed me - alas, unsubscribing the -new- address, not the old one. I betcha my mail is still bouncing cause the old address has apparently not been unsubscribed. (am I making any sense, yet?) Sorry to clutter up the list with this but I can't seem to find Al's personal e-mail address right now. Al, e-mail me a bshatzer@orednet.org and lets see if we can figure out just what's going on. Strictly WW1. Bought my first Auroura Nieuport 11(?) (the one with the Le Prieur rockets for US $0.79 (many year ago, and 1/48 was the scale of choice for me then.) Have bought much more than I built, but have completed the Hasegawa 1/6 Fokker DrI, and fully intend to finish their Camel. After building these, if I'm going to spend that kind of time, then I'm going to build the 7/8 Nieuport ultralight replica so I can fly the thing! (Seriously). ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 18 Apr 1996 01:23:43 -0400 From: DavidL1217@aol.com To: wwi Subject: Re: Latest FSM Message-ID: <960418012342_377729750@emout19.mail.aol.com> We WWI guys should hold our heads high! I've run into a problem concerning the aircraft color. Just about everything that I've seen lists the color as dark green. There is a restored DVII in the Netherlands that is painted in dark green and that's what the Blue Rider instructions call for. Now to confuse things, in the Windsock article on "International Fokkers", May/June 1995, repeated reference is made to Dutch Fokkers being brown? It's impossible to tell anything from the photographs. What does anybody think?
