Dr1 wing failures

Hi, guys.

From what I can find out there were 4 crashes of Dr1s that
were directly attributed to upper-mainplane failure. Those of Lothar von
Richthofen (in 454/17 on ?.III.1918), and Hauptm. Wilhelm Reinhard of
Jasta 6 (in mid-March of the same year) did nnot involve fatalities.
The two that caused the withdrawal of DR1s from service were both
fatal; they were:

Lt. G"unther Pastor of Jasta 11 in 121/17 on 31.X.17 near
Moorseele;
Lt. Heinrich Gontermann of Jasta 15 in 115/17 on 30.X.17
near La Neuville.

Wing failures in Albatroses involved the *lower* plane, basically
because it only had one mainspar.
Among others, Manfred von Richthofen and von Hippl were caught out
by this tendency.

Cheers,

Mick.
